Text is slow after Dec 9th updates (WinXP)

Is anyone else experiencing slow texthandling by Notepad and
those sorts of apps after installing the Dec 9th updates?

I installed the following 8 updates and my system behaves slows
when using text utilities.

I'm using WinXP Pro/SP2.
