CLIPHISTORY retains as many as 99 previous clipboards, and is
very helpful to anyone who writes a lot. Unfortunately, all
entries are volatile.

It would be great to have a sidebar Gadget that retains some
number of frequently-used phrases. Is there such a thing?

Here's freebie I used for a while. It's not a gadget. It sits in your
system tray.
