Thanks, Patty, For your Post re. Touchpad Corners & Borders

Hi,

Thanks ever so much for your post. My new Toshiba Satellite running
Vista Home Premium was doing loopy things seemingly by itself. It would
shrink or change windows while I was on line, and jump lines or even
pages while I was typing text. I could not figure it out, and neither
could my professional computer expert.

It turns out that my laptop was programmed at the factory to have the
touchpad corners do all these (unwanted) things. Thanks to your
suggestions, I was able to find the offending settings and change them.
I now have in essence a plain old fashioned touchpad.

Perhaps you could share where those settings are, to help avoid someone
in the future having to go through what you went through.

That would be great! My touchpad does the same thing. It can be helpful in
some ways but I would like to be able to have the choice whether I want them
or not.

After 2 months, it's unlikely the original poster will return to share
his experience. He's turned out to be yet another of the many selfish
people who come here to leech off the group's collective knowledge
before running away without returning the favor.
