Hiya,

I downloaded and installed 'this' (http://vista-os-x.en.softonic.com/
theme and now when I try to uninstall it I get 'this
(http://i35.tinypic.com/2w7frq8.jpg). :-/
I can't find the theme on the programs list, only in the place I save
the download to, and that's what happens when I click it and press Ye
when it asks if I'd like to uninstall the theme.

And 'now, the actual default Vista theme is gone!

Any help on how I can uninstall this Mac theme and get the default on
back, please? :

Try a System Restore to before you downloaded the incompatible program.

I think you have had a problem with this Mac style theme because it seems to
have been released before SP1 for Vista. As Malke said, System Restore
would be your best option at this point. And if you want your desktop to
look like a Mac's, get a Mac - or run MacOSX on your PC.

To run System Restore, go to the Start Orb and in the Start Search box type
"System Restore" without the quotes. System Restore will appear in the
Programs result. Click on it, allow the UAC prompt, and follow the wizard.

If you have a Norton Antivirus/Security program installed, disable it before
running System Restore.

The publisher states that the Minimum requirements for installing this
Pack is Windows Vista 32 Bit SP1. I trust you met these requirements.

Using Theme Settings, apply the Windows Classic Theme.

Open Control Panel > Programs & Features > Uninstall VistaOSX >
Reboot.

Check in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes folder whether you can see an Aero
folder and an Aero theme file. If you can, use theme settings to apply
it.

If you dont see it, System Restore back to a time prior to the
installation of this Pack. Most probably, this pack would have created a
system restore point before its installation.

If it still doesnt help you, PM me and I will send you the original
Aero theme/folder which you may paste in your Themes folder.

Your opinion means nothing to me, tbh.

1) Reg system restore, see if (maybe) something at this -related- post
'Cannot create a System Restore Point in Windows Vista.
(http://www.winvistaclub.com/t89.html) helps you

2) Type services in your start menu search bar to open Services. Scrol
down to the Themes service. Ensure that it is set on Automatic and i
running
