What really drives me nuts about WM (since several versions already, but it
has never been so nasty and frequent as with WM 6.1) is that very so often
when I connect but especially if I leave my device hooked up to the computer
for a few hours there will invariable suddenly be a "plink" sound and a
dialog pops up telling me "There has been a change on your device that
requires to sync all data again". $#@&%$#*!!!
If one then picks OK ActiveSync/WMDC will go and indeed sync all data again,
which in my case takes over 30 minutes! This is not only most annoying when
one was about to leave the desk, it also clears all names from your call
list, resets all short-dial numbers, etc. etc. This dreaded "feature" alone
is guarantee enough that this will be my last WM device (I decided on that
already even before MS pulled the plug on WM!).
But I really wonder: what is causing this? WHAT triggers this error? WHY
does AS keep failing in that way again and again and again?
