is there a new virus affecting msn live, mail services, etc.

I think my account is infected. i'm getting emails from people, who arent
sending me emails, saying to go to a website to see who's blocked you from
messenger. now, when i try to send emails, i get the same error message
every time. after canceling the send action, several minutes later the
message appears in the sent folder. i have called people in my contact list
that use live as well, and they have confirmed receiving messages from me
about the site too! WHAT TO DO? My account just isn't working right, it
doesn't seem to be my whole computer at all. I changed the password while
being logged off to no avail. the login i used now is not the affected
account, its working fine--from the same computer...

the notification i get every time i try to send mail, then it sends...

temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your
computer). Please try again

Greetings Tara,

They are sending you those e-mails. Your contacts have been duped by a phishing website
which they've given their Windows Live username and password to. You should inform them that
they need to change their password immediately.

As for the error, I do believe (based on observation and reports) that some Hotmail accounts
are having issues tonight. I suggest you just try again later.
