Are there no icons for the toolbar?

I just downloaded and transferred over my Windows Mail to the new LIVE
Windows Mail and I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet... I can't seem to
find icons for the toolbar. Do they not exist? I just have the words (i.e.
"New," "Reply All", etc.). If there are no icons, I'm extremely
disappointed. Am I missing something here? It doesn't seem to very
customizeable!

Thanks for your help.

For the life of me, I shall never understand why people fuss about " icons "
or " just words ". They serve the same purpose and not better than the
other.
Of course, " each to his/her own liking ".
To answer you query..... no icons, only words.

Text is the only option.
- Fyi...brought up long ago during the beta test as a concern...even a survey didn't provide conclusive evidence that icons were
majority preferred.

At this time ....the most one can do(and should):

Send Feedback to the WLM team
WLM Menu/Help/Send Feedback
or
https://feedback.live.com/eform.aspx...back_home_form

Do note, based on posts in this forum(either because the toolbar is not important, people have adjusted, don't care, are neutral,
don't really use the tool bar)...it may not be and top the list item..

Yes you are missing something. On the right-hand side at the top, next to
the "Help" icon there's a little icon that if you hover over it it says
"menus". Click that and see what happens...

The new "Windows Live Mail" (not "LIVE Windows Mail") has no icons. It lacks
some other features people miss from MS Outlook Express, as well. Other than
that, it is as customizable as any of the previous free MS email clients (MS
Outlook Express and Windows Mail).

WLM is missing more than a few things compared to Outlook Express but
biggest one to me is the ability to edit html before sending email.

Perhaps it is missing all of the things OE had? I don't think that is right,
either. Few, or many; who has counted them all? Only a few of the things
I've checked between the two.

To me, that is great! I hate icons - they just take up
space on my screens. I much prefer titles, which I can
read, than icons which I must try to distinguish from many
other icons and then memorize.

This is almost enough reason for me to switch to Windows
Live Mail. I've been considering it, and trying to learn
more about it. What other differences are there between
Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail?

I am just a regular. I'll let the more " well-versed " experts to fill you
in.
E-mailing wise, I like e-mails being downloaded to separate accounts, in
stead of all into one In-box in Windows Mail. I have 3 accounts, one for
relatives, one for friends/acquaintances, one for business, each of which
has a different e-mail address.
I particular like the way I can view an email with multiple attachments. I
click " view image slideshow " button and I can see all the attachments in
slide show format.
Like I said, the experts will fill you in the good and the ugly.
