There is no text message area for writing emails

Help! I am trying to compose a message using either my hotmail or yahoo
account, but when I click on compose there is no text message area for me to
write. Also on the bottom left hand side it says "error". People have told me
to go to "Tools" and update my Microsoft, I've tried that and it still does
not work. What do I need to do to solve this problem? Please let me know.

This News Group is about using the MS Windows Update web server and services.

Assuming that you are using Outlook Express (OE) to compose your email, go to an appropriate
OE News Group such as... microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress
