Will there be solutions to easily upgrade to Vista?

According to this (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12932382) article it
seems to be very difficult to upgrade a Thinkpad X60 to Windows Vista.

I would like to buy an X60 notebook right now but if I will never be
able to upgrade to Windows Vista, it is for sure a reason not to buy
one.

Will there be easier ways to upgrade in the future, for example, a more
compatible upgrade software from Microsoft or Lenovo? Or should I
forget about the X60 if I want to use Windows Vista someday?
