The following folders and files are occupying a lot of space in my
C:\Windows folder:

- $MSI31Uninstall??????$ - over 30 different folders totalling over 500MB
- Driver Cache folder (119 MB)
- ServicePackFiles Folder containing i386 subfolder (530MB)
- SoftwareDistribution folder (659 MB)
- RegisteredPackages Folder (65 MB)
- $NtServicePackUninstall$ (265 MB)
- Internet logs (73 MB)
- $hf_mig$ (93 MB)

Please, which of these folders can I safely delete. Thanks.

CeeCee

This link will answer part of your question, at least for the larger files:

Yes., all $NtUninstall... and $MSI31Uninstall... folders are safe to
delete.

You can delete the *.cab files in that folder, but note that you will
be asked for the OS CD everytime the driver installation that uses the
drivers supplied with the OS is needed.

Do not delete it.

You can safely delete it (stop the Automatic Updates service first).

Note that a side effect of renaming or deleting the SoftwareDistribution
folder is that you lose your WU/AU History listing (not critical).

To avoid this, just delete the Download folder that is located in the
SoftwareDistribution folder.

Do not delete it.

You can delete this one.

Most likely you can safely delete the files in this one.

> - $hf_mig$ (93 MB)

Do not delete it.
