Here's what you can do with Ubuntu:

Email
Surf the web
Burn CDs.
Rip CDs.
Listen to music.
Watch vidoes/DVDs.
Scan and print.
Spreadsheets.
Presentations
Newsgroups.
HTML editing.
Games like Chess, Tetris, all kinds of solitaire, etc.
Make videos.
Download photos from a camera and organize them.
Translations.
Use a dictionary
Learn how to touch type.
Edit images.
Send and receive a fax.
Take screen shots.
Create .PDF files.
Create and use a data base.
Instant messaging with over 10 different programs in one including
Windows Live Messenger.
IRC.
Bluetooth.

and much more!

What you can't do with Ubuntu:

Worry about:
WPA and WGA raising their ugly heads,
DRM,
Viruses,
Root kits,
Spyware,
and
Malware.

Seems like an obvious choice to me: ditch Vista and get Ubuntu, which is
FREE, along with access to 23,000 FREE programs. Check it out at
http://www.ubuntu.com/

Are you FUKKING Kidding? Ubuntu is only good for E-Mail, Web Surfing,
and writing a simple letter to your MAMA! If you want to do REAL
work, use Windows XP or Vista. That is where the powerhouse works!
Ubuntu only has a small marketshare and for being a FREE product you
would think that it would have penitrated the market better. Go
figure. A FREE product that NOBODY wants. Must be a piece of crap.

Yes, Ubuntu is a Piece of Crap for Most people. Only those who want
to do just the basic tasks, Ubuntu is just fine.

Have a reading comprehension problem, eh? If you scroll up you will see
a long list of things that can be done with Ubuntu. Course, you have
admitted you're too stupid to install Ubuntu so we are subjected to your
lying sour grapes. Get over it and learn how to install Ubuntu so you
can intelligently make a comment.

Again, you are the one with comprehension problems. I keep telling you time
and time again that I Have successfully installed and used Ubuntu. Ubuntu
won't run the majority of the popular programs out there. Who needs some
free cheap knock off that is crippled? Not me or NOT most of the users out
there.

What I did find that Ubuntu is not worth a crap. No wonder, the product is
FREE and has a very small following on the desktop. What you don't
understand is that fact. You just have blinders on. You think Ubuntu is
the greatest thing since sliced bread. Guess what? For business users who
need to be compatable with MS, Ubuntu just doesn't cut it.

You go on playing with that TOY OS and the OpenSores Orafice. Good for you.
But for the rest of us who need to get real work done, we will stick with
Microsoft.

Now go back to your farm and tend to your SHEEP

I don't want to get into '****ing match', but I've used Ubuntu and Linspire
which used to use Debian but has switched to Ubuntu and none of the various
versions of Linux suit me. The biggest draw back is scanning ability. There
are relatively few scanners that work with any Linux variant. I couldn't get
a Plustek scanner that was supposed to work in Linux to work and I'm not
aware of any HP scanners that work in Linux.

Ubuntu does include rudimentary capabilities for many functions but if you
want anything beyond the rudimentary it is difficult to find and more
difficult to install if you aren't a computer geek. Viruses, spyware, etc.
aren't an issue because the installed base isn't worth the the trouble to
try to create havoc. Although I don't have the reference, I read sometime
ago that Linux and/or Apple aren't anymore secure from viruses etc. they are
just secure from Windows directed viruses, etc..

Good list. But incomplete as Ubuntu can do even more. You can always pull
up the package manager and load thousands more. But I know you knew that,
but some readers might not. Runs faster than Vista too.
