I keep trying to get my windows updates for my xp home edition but all of a
sudden i get this wacky page that says thanks for choosing ....yada yada
yada.......so i go to find help and it says i have a third party
firewall.......all i have ever had on here was the nortons and the internal
firewall........clear up until this past week the updates were always fine
and there have been no changes done on here.....so anyways i get this help
thing going and it tells me i have to delete a registry
key.....HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wind ows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\User Agent\Post Platform

Well no matter what fix i've tried my ie is messed up and i still can't get
updates at all.....i don't have sp2 yet cos i've heard too many nightmare
stories on it to be ready for that. Any one got any suggestions on how to
get ie back to original and how to get updates that seem to be avoiding me
like the plague???
