Questions can't get any simpler than this, but I can't find the answer.

I have have done something and 'lost' my threaded view of NEWS. How do I get
this back? I am astounded that I can't figure this out, but I can't.

And is there no longer a useful HELP feature in WLM? the "?" button seems
to lead to marketing material rather than something that would help in
answering such a question.

Thanks.

dave

ps. Getting closer to Thunderbird here.

I think it's very simple to solve your problem.

Click on View > Filter messages...Click on your choice.

Also, click on Conversations and choose what you prefer.

Thx - CONVERSATIONS was the key.

I had finally ended up restarting my system and got my 'threads' back.
Somehow (prior to the restart) CONVERSATIONS had been greyed out - have no
idea how or why.

Conversation view and its (On/Off) toggle option is only available when
sorting by the 'Sent' column.

The Conversations button is only active when sort by Date or Sent is selected.

Note that threads now have a life of their own and leap around the thread list with abandon. This is because threads now sort in
date order of the most recent post each one contains. Every version of WLMail since it was conceived has, quite naturally, sorted
threads by the date of the oldest post, but this was changed in WLMail 2011. The reason is quite beyond me.

Thanks. BTW, sorting by latest date is quite useful from my perspective. If
an older thread suddenly gets a comment, then the thread pops up to the top
(would otherwise be missed unless it was being watched).

---------------

Would not be missed if you read them all, as some do :-))

I read them all and like them popping to the top.
Others pop the top before reading them all.
