AD question about "Managing" a group

Discussion in 'Windows Server' started by Clayton Sutton, Oct 14, 2009.

  1. We are running a Windows 2003 domain.

I created a Universal Security group in AD and on the "Managed By" tab I
gave a user permission to manage and update the membership list. Now that I
have done that, how does the user (domain user) do that from their XP
    workstation?

    TIA,

    Clayton

  2. Hello Clayton,

The machine of the user account need the adminpak installed, to have AD users
and computers snap in and edit the group membership.

Alos see this one if problems come with the "managed by":
