My IE 7 default page has suddenly changed from Windows live local (or
whatever the default was) to MSN. That really bugs me. HOw do i get it back?
Im not sure what caused this.

    Hi lindzog,

MSN has been going through a rebranding exersize to 'Live'. Do you have the
MSN toolbar installed? If so you can uninstall it and replace it with the
'Live' toolbar from http://toolbar.live.com. The old MSN toolbar may be
applying its preferences to IE's settings.

That aside, most toolbar addons now have options to make themselves the
default search provider and homepage provider for the browser. Check the
options for any toolbars that you have installed.

    Regards.

tks. it may be coincidence but the hijack happened after an Adobe Reader
    update.
Ive manually reconfigured the home page as live.com again now. annoying though
