    Hi,
I need to create a folder for executive level company documents. Would I use
an OU or Security Group to give the correct permissions?

OUs are 'junk' buckets (very loosely put) that help you to organize your domain objects (users, groups, computers, etc) to reflect your business model, whether by site, location or function, as well as to apply Group Policies based on site, locations or function. They are not security principals.

Security Groups are security principals (like a user account), that can be added to resources and used to apply permissions to said resources.
