    | Hi,

    | Just a question on the antivirus issue.

    | After uninstalling AVG and then downloading Microsoft Security Essentials, I
    | noticed that I was advised by the latter to take off any other malware
    | products such as Spybot Search and Destroy and Spyblaster before downloading
    | it because it may conflict with these other spyware products.

    | Is this true, can they really conflict and could this also slow down the PC
    | or cause some other problems by having them as well as MSE?

    | I still use Spybot and it still does its thing and Spyblaster still works in
    | the background as far as I am aware. All I have to do is update
    | them every now and again.

    | Does anybody else still use these together or should you just use one to
    | stop any possibility of conflict? More to the point, can this
    | situation slow down your computer?

    | Thanks in advance for any answer.

    | Brenda

The only thing needed to be done is disable TeaTimer in SpyBot S&D.

    | Sorry Dave. I am even more confused now :-(

    | One of your links is foreign and the other one??? What do I do in here and
    | what has this got to do with spy bot or spyware blaster?

    | "Tea Timer"??? Could you elaborate on this a bit more for me please. I am
    | virtually a novice so I need this in layman terms please ;-)

    | Thanks
