what process does AutoEnrollment on Vista/2008

  1. hello,

    what process/service does certificate AutoEnrollment chores on Windows Vista
    or 2008? On XP it used to be USERINIT. So what is it now?

    If you check out the CAs database for certificate request that was issued
    through autoenrollment process you'll see it is taskeng.exe. Check out scheduled
    tasks in CertificateServicesClient folder for more info. Also check out
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939039.
