I have tried to troubleshoot this error message (see below), but I still can
not send emails since 5PM ET today.

    ********************************************
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '.#'. Subject 'Fraser 534:
    Incident Report 2010-06-16: 17:15', Account: ' Mail
Account', Server: 'smtpauth.earthlink.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response:
'501 <.#>: domain missing or malformed', Port: 587,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 501, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Here's the problem right in the error message.

    '.#'

Remove the # from the address.
