Hi! I had the same problem before, very enoying. I have WMP 10.0 but it
stopped working because of codec problem. I discover I had more then one
codecs since I downloaded other DVD programs such as power DVD, WinDVD,
Cliprex Nimo Codecs Pack (almost everything I could find) I tried them all,
but if you want to watch your DVD´s for free you are here limited of the
    trial version.
If you downloaded some of this programs, you may also had one or more DVD
decoder installed, which will make any of them work. What I did was to remove
all of this programs and installed ffdshow from
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/v...ers/ffdshow.cfm

Now my WMP is working fine!

(I also downloaded a graphic driver from
    http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
but you may not have to do that)

    /vik
