Windows Media Player 10 will not connect to the Internet. I can't
connect to an online store, connect to Windows Media Guide or get Album
    info when ripping/playing CDs anymore!!!

I have a stable, broadband Internet connection. No problems there, but
it's like Windows Media Player doesn't recognize the connection at all.

    I tried re-installing, re-setting file associations -- nothing works.

    Any ideas?

This would be a networking problem. Are the settings under WMP's
Tools:Options:Network correct? Can IE connect to http://windowsmedia.com ?

Darn, your post made me think about my online connection and then I
tried turning off my firewall and sure enough, Media Player connected to
Windows Media. I guess at some point I told my firewall program to block
outgoing from WMP permanently (not a good move).

    Problem solved! Thanks!
