Three desktop folders

I was fiddling with my computer and I don't know how I ended up creatin
two other Desktop folders, one under myname (where Documents, Pictures
Downloads etc. are) and one actually *in *the Documents folder. Thes
are interlinked (with each other and with the original desktop) and the
only include the files I had manually saved, but not the origina
shortcuts such as Recycle Bin, Internet Explorer, Computer, Contro
Panel etc
If I rename one of these two new desktops, they both get renamed (bu
the original desktop remains unchanged). If I try to delete either on
of these new Desktops (either the one under myname or in the Document
folder) it affects my main Desktop, deleting most of the shortcuts

I don't know how this happened, and I can't understand how to und
whatever it is I might have done in the first place

Can someone please shed some light on this?!! Would this be a
indication of more trouble to come?

T

Welcome to the Vista Forums arty:

You may want to try a system restore to a point before this happened.
Here's a tutorial on doing a system restore:

Let us know if that works for you.
