"Time Discrepancy" error. Update fails

My windows server 2003 OS was newly installed onto my raid hardware.

error message: Windows update has encountered an error: this may be due to a
discrepancy in your computer's time
setting... check your date and time setting. error # 0x800c0008

I've followed several advice including:
1. I've tried logging onto the network as the administrator instead of the
local machine.
2. Date, time, timezone are all correct but I've tried changing them to see
if
that would work.
3. I've also restarted the server.
4. I tried clicking on 'pick updates to install' link instead of the link in
the main window pane.

None of these have worked. Please advise of any thing that may help.

19. Uncheck "Check for server certificate revocation"
a. Open Internet Explorer
b. Click on Tools
c. Click on Internet Option from the drop down menu
d. Click on the Advanced tab
e. Scroll down to the Security Section
f. Unselect "Check for server certificate revocation"
g. Reboot the machine
