In our Domain, we are receiving issues with the time service on all our
servers. The time service is working correctly (Event ID: 35), when we
receive Event ID: 38, then 20 minutes later we receive Event ID 24 and Event
ID 29. Then 24 hours later we receive Event ID 36, and then 12 hours we
receive Event ID 29. (See Events below) The only way to fix this is to stop
and start the time service, which is not practical on 200 domain controllers.
We have tried a couple options with the time service. The latest was to run
“w32tm /unregister” and “w32tm /register”, to bring the time service back to
the defaults.
We have also tried “w32tm /config /update
/manualpeerlist:"DomainSRV1.internal.testdomain.com " /syncfromflags:MANUAL
/reliable:YES” and “w32tm /config /syncfromflags:domhier /update”
The PDCEmulator is configured to an external time source which is working
correct.
