Time synch...

I noticed that my time wasn't correct. I went into the time applet and saw
a message saying that there was an error the last time it tried to synch. I
used the pull-down to select different time synch places on the internet but
got an error on all of them. It doesn't say what the error is, just that it
got one.

I'm connected to the internet and am running Vista Ultimate.

Anyone else seen this?

Howard

Have you tried to set a different NTP server in Date and Time > Internet
clock tab > Settings?

Thanks. Yes, I had tried all of the locations that were pre-loaded into the
drop-down list. Eventually I tried opening NTP port 123 in my firewall and
it appears that that worked.

I have seen this problem due to a few different firewalls when you have
outbound monitoring.
