Time synchronization.

Since applying the latest updates, including the security update
KB877379, I seem to have lost time synchronization more than
once. AFAICT, the computer is connected to the Internet all the
time it is switched on although there could be glitches when I
am not present. The lost synchronization may be a coincidence
but it is a nuisance that manual synchronization resets the date
and time at which the synchronization will occur automatically.
Can anyone tell me the register entry or entries to set these
without having to accept the actual time at which I did the
synchronization?

I am posting this here because of suspicions about the source of
the problem but, of course, if anyone has a suggestion for a
more suitable group I would be glad to hear it.

TIA,
