Timeout error when i try to generate system health report?

When i try to generate a system health report ,i have started getting this
message,"error occured while attempting to generate the report,the wait for
the report generation tool to finish has timed out." It have always been able
to generate a report but the last two weeks i can't ,i keep getting this
message.Does anyone know if there a fix for this?

Why do you need a "system health report" when it's obvious your system isn't
healthy? Do you need more evidence then the fact you can't even get a
report?

> message.Does anyone know if there a fix for this?----- OK, now dont take this to the bank because i'm just this year learning the ins and outs of computers.. but i got exatly the same error after 4 months on a new laptop. after getting no real help from micosft or acer, i finnaly fixed it my self b y stumblig into the files under (C proglogs then opened the System file there and found a lot of empty files (0 bytes) and after deleating all those my report came back up agin no error. also i han noticed a lot of errors about not finding the end of the the file list or some thing like that in my looking and the the error changed from the original you had to somthing about too manny files in the log. --i know this sounds erratic but i'm just learning as i said. when i was in school a slide rule was high tech.
