I am wondering if the reason I can't get Windows Live Today is that it
requires lots of RAM, orthat it needs to be downloaded separately from
Windows Live Messenger, or if it requires a separate password. Maybe I need
personal permission from Bill Gates. Would standing on my head help? I can't
believe how many hours I'm spending trying to get it. Will anyone help me?
The Messenger part works fine.

This is what works for me when I am in your spot.

Back off the problem. Go outside and smell the fresh air. Think how big the
world is and how interesting technology makes the world.

Know (even if it is because I say so, and who am I to you?) that what you
say about Bill Gates is backwards. Look at all the different peices of the
puzzle he has had Microsoft put together, so we can understand and win with
the Microsoft programs. (Maybe that's why you are upset - 'cause you need to
get inside, so you can ask an important question, right away?)

There is always a way to get through. E-mail corporate sales. Email the
group that studies how to make the programs more accessible for disabled
people. Take a long nap. When you wake up, start counting your blessings
before you even sit up. Aproach your computer with the respect you would
aproach a famous Zen Master. Respect yourself, too. Make sure the computer is
plugged in. Call microsoft and ask if there are problems on their end. Run a
complete inside-out virus check, etc. I bet you will even solve the problem
yourself and feel so much better, soon.

Know how they say, don't use bad language and stuff? I find saying mean
things about Bill Gates even more offensive than pornography for
kindergarteners. The man is as good a man as they come. Please don't say mean
things about Bill Gates again in an open forum.

I am a nobody, an old woman, disabled and struggling to keep up; Microsoft,
the MSN part and all the times I have yelled for help in emils addressed to
"support", this is how I have learned what I know. What Bill Gates started is
as Big and Wonderful and Fun and as Useful As You Will Make it in Your Mind.
I am really glad they have put so much attention into a way to being able to
understand and use our computers and Microsoft programs. Plus, This Is Free !
!

I sure hope you do get someone who can really help you technically to solve
your problem. I am sure by the time you get around to reading this, it will
already be fixed.

Have a Great Day.

Dear Dragonstarfire,
Much of your advice is good. I'm sorry you think I'm being mean to Bill
Gates; I think he's wonderful, too! Yesterday, "Today" started working, and I
think it was caused by a surge after a power failure. Then I tried to send
this message, and couldn't get into this blog. Thank you for your help. I
happen to be disabled and struggling, too. Good luck to you.
