When I start Windows Live Messenger another window opens called "Today". It
has news, weather and entertainment information. No matter where I look on
Microsoft or the web I can't find any information on this. What gives? Is
anyone else using it and if so where can I find information and help files?

Thanks

It's just a service that shows the latest news, your local weather, your new
e-mail messages, and a few other things. Do you want to disable it or
something?

Actualy I started out simply wanting to change the location for the weather
information at the top of the window. As I said I can't find any information
on it and it has become sort of a challenge to me. I am determined to find
out more about it. Do you know of a web page for it?

It's per passport specific, when you login to msn.com you can edit your
profile and enter your location and it will show the weather for that
location.

I've been thru all of that and can't find anything specific to the location
for weather.

Why is there no information available about the "Today" window?

I find it totaly amazing that in all the various pages on Microsofts sites
for every concievable subject there is nothing about this subject.

Hi Jonathan

I've been there - done that. I've filled out all the address information
boxes.
The "Today" window is still showing me weather for a city 80 miles from me.

And I still have the main question.....
Why is there no information available about the "Today" window?

Doug

Well Joe that's a pretty odd statement and explains nothing.

I still have not received anything close to an answer for my first question
and comment.

"Why is there no information available about the "Today" window?
I find it totaly amazing that in all the various pages on Microsofts
sites for every concievable subject there is nothing about this subject."

I guess I'll have to give up on this hunt for now.
But thanks to RebelSean and Jonathan for their constructive attempts to help.

Doug just a note to let you know you are not alone in this one. I have run
this rabbit, followed your thread, logged in & out . . . . ya da ya da ya da
.. . . . I feel very strongly that this is a bug. The information that is on
my msn/windows live profile, is not mapping over to the Windows Live Today
window. The mail info does. Oh yes, one more thing, there is "nothing" to
be found, anywhere on Microsoft.com, about this topic.
