I would try and remove it through Control Panel / Add and Remove first.
It should be listed under Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and then the updates
underneath. Making sure you have "show updates" ticked.
If that wasn't an option open to me then I would possibly try a System
Restore.
If that didn't work, possibly start the computer in "last known good
configuration".
Just thoughts.
