I awoke this morning to find that Windows Ultimate Extras had downloaded
Update for Windows Vista (KB936824) and was waiting for me to reboot my
computer. I hit the snooze button and went about my work, and when I was
finished, I told the program to reboot.

When Windows restarted, everything on my desktop was gone except for the
default icons. My sidebar widgets were all gone. My Firefox bookmarks were
gone. And I had to setup MS Outlook from scratch.

Anyone else have this happen? I will use System Restore and see if I can
restore things.

I have exactly the same problem. As well as my desktop preferences
disappearing, my start menu and style change.

This happened to me too, is there any way to revert this?
