Tom Tom Warning

      10-23-2008

I have recently updated Tom Tom Home 2.4 now every time I switch on
get message box Tom Tom not installed properly. when it all works fin
Ive had tech support from Tom Tom get me to uninstall and reinstall
disk clean defrag hunt for t/t files clean everything 6 times now
How can I get rid of this warning box. Tech help are stumped.:

It's very early still and I'm yawning and this is off the top of my head:

Use 'Run as administrator' when installing. You might also check if the
program if specifically compatible with Vista .. if not, try installing in
'Compatibility Mode' selecting Windows XP SP2.

etc. etc.

hi saucy. I had to install it as advised by tom tom as administrator
and it was a specific download for vista
thanks, but its still got error warnin

It might be worth a try to do a system restore to a date before you
first installed the update, and then try the update again.

Before using System Restore, if you are running an antivirus program such as
Norton, you might try unticking the box in the Norton settings area which
protects Norton against attackers of itself. This is necessary because System
Restore may not work properly otherwise. Just my personal experience plus
some readings on this newsgroup.
