I do not know what program this message references but the Message box has
"Microsoft Windows" in the title bar. The body of the message is: "A problem
caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program
and notify you if a solution is available."

The button text is "Close Program"

This message box pops-up constantly. If anyone has the slightlest idea what
program this message refers to please let me know.

Because I do not know which program causes this and the Title bar refers to
Microsoft Windows I have posted this qyestion here. If this is incorrect I
apologize.

Go to Control Panel (Classic view) > Problem Reports and Solutions > click the
"View problem history" link in the left pane of the window. There will be a
list of the programs displayed that have had problems. To get further
information (and help), right click on a problem and select "View problem
details". You can use the "Copy to clipboard" link in the lower left corner of
the window to paste the contents into a message.

What program is loading TICmd.exe and TIFmtA.dll ? Search your hard drive C:
(Advanced search and click the box for hidden and system files).

I do not have these files on my system and I can't find anything meaningful on
the web.

See if you can determine what this program (Track ID Command) is?

Look in Start/All Programs for a reference to this program.
Search for the file TICmd.exe. Right click the file and select Properties to
see information for which program installed the file.

With a name like "track ID" this looks suspiciously like some kind of
spyware or other malicious file.

Ronnie and Cal,
I did a search on the Internet and found it is a file for a Ricoh Laser
Printer. When I was installing my Ricoh I inadvertently installed the wrong
driver so I reinstalled but the install left reference to the driver in the
Registry. I have since deleted those references.

The Ricoh site lists this feature of the Ricoh Africio SP C410DN as
"SmartDeviceMonitor"

The message has not been displaying since I reinstalled and deleted the
references in the registry.

Thank you both for your responses.

Terrific!

Glad to have helped.

The new Problem Reports and Solutions applet can frequently be very helpful.
