My wife's computer had a problem a couple of weeks ago and I had to run the
repair disk on her machine. Now I cannot load service pack 2. I bought her a
new Dell computer with Windows Vista Premium on it. The East Transfer will
not work because it will not load on a Windows XP machine unless there is
service pack 2. I have both machines on a network and I can read her old
machine from her new machine. Is there a way to transfer files and setttings
using another program or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and do
everything manually? Thanks for any help.

Transfering files, manually, should be a simple matter, after all if they
are networked its a simple copy operation

Why can't you load SP2?

Did you do a Repair Install of Windows?
