I currently run MS Office 2000 Pro. and MS Money 2004 under XP. I have just
acquired a new notebook running Vista Home Premium and wonder how best to
transfer programs and data.

In Vista, click the Start orb, and type "transfer" (without quotes) t
search for Windows Easy Transfer. That should help you out

One cannot transfer software programs. You must use
the original software installation discs and install.

You could try Windows Easy Transfer Companion (Beta)

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...playlang=en&tm

"Brief Description
Windows Easy Transfer Companion enables you to automatically transfer your
most important programs from your Windows XP-based PC to your new Windows
Vista-based PC."

Your data can be transferred using the easy transfer wizard located on the
Vista disk.

His main concern most likely is how to transfer data.
