Transitive Trust

I would like to know if there are issues that I should be aware of if I
change the IP address of a Primary DNS server with a transitive trust to
another forest. Thank you in advance.

Hello Jonathan,

Make sure that DNS on the other site of the trust will be checked after it
is operational on your site. After changing the ip address run ipconfig /flushdns
and ipconfig /registerdns and restart the netlogon service or reboot.

As Meinolf pointed out, DNS handles this just make sure the two sides of the
trust can find one another. The one thing to caution you on is that most
trust have a firewall setup in between and there are usually rules on port
blockage linked to ip addresses.
