Tray Icons missing

The icons in my systems tray seemingly load at random with each reboot.
What is going to show up ie reminiscent of a slot machine.

The volume and network icons seem to be the worst. Sometimes I get both,
sometimes one or the other, and sometimes neither one appears. It
occasionally takes several reboots to get them both to appear as normal.

When one or the other is missing, the option to display it is grayed out in
Task Bar Properties, so I can't display it that way.

Any suggestions?

Buddha

They may have gotten corrupted. See if resetting the Notification icon

might also take a look at the "Related Links" at the top if the tutoria

Click Start > type CMD, right click it, click 'Run as Administrator' at the
command prompt, type SFC /SCANNOW. This should correct any corrupt system
files and settings.
