Tried posting w/ an attached image, but it didnt arrive?
Isnt it allowed?

I don't think these MFST run NGs alllow attachments. Basically for security
purposes.

Yes.

And there is an additional problem. If the "Community Support
Features" in Windows Live Mail are enabled (which is the default
setting), you don't even receive a warning that the attachment is
too large.

The posting will be accessible via the web interface at
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.mspx - but it
never reaches the NNTP news server.

Strange. I've posted JPG attachments here that were about 50K in size.
I thought the server limit was 100K.

Fyi...A test of a post 2 kb and then adding a 70K jpg attachment yielded a 98 kb file in my outbox and sent to this thread....the
server did not accept the message(nor did I receive any indication of rejection, the message is intact in the Sent folder)
- granted 2 extra kb(100-98) is not lot of legroom, but if no other encoding is added after the Outbox, then 100Kb might not be
the upper limit. Community features are disabled.
