Hey - looking for assistance. I woke yesterday morning to my Symantec
informing me that I had Trojan.Brisv.Alinf on my computer. The message said
that it had to be manually removed.

I am running XP Home

I followed the instructions, and downloaded the fix from the Symantec site
and ran the fix and received the message that the virus was not found.

I woke again this morning to the same message.

I ran the fix again this time in safe mode. Still tells me that it is not
on my computer.

I expect that it is going to show up again tonight?

I am confused with the messaging from Symantec as on the scan results it
shows HIGH RISK, yet in the history, it shows low risk and no action required.

I am confused... what do I do now? Is it still on my hard drive? If so
where? How do I find it and stop it from replicating?

Thanks!

How is this related to Windows Update?

Have you contacted Symantec Support?

Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software
