a) PC Tools SpywareDoctor - latest ver.
b) Symantec Antivirus - latest ver.
Run PC Tools in WIndows, and Symantec in SafeMode/DOS.
Turn on heuristics, stealth/rootkits detetction & other advanced options,
turn off "reduce CPU priority" or whatever controls processor tasking
(workload), don't minimize, leave it to run, it will reboot several times to
complete cleanup.

PC Tools PSywareDoctor is phenomenal.

childofthe1980s,

Do yourself a favor, invest in a reputable antivirus program. Most viruses
and spyware aren't this simple, and believe me, this was very very simple.
Next time it won't be. If you're wondering which programs are worth
investing in, check out this link.

BS site who gears their reviews based upon advertisement revenue.
Their so-called ranking does not include Avira AntiVir (one of the *best*) and they
include Paretologic which is a scam company to avoid. Thus any info they provide is
tainted at best.

You haven't even tried it and you are complaining!

Download it (free version) and use it. Millions have done so already.

Christ!!! Are you sure you're not a childofthe 1930s? Both links posted
were for the free versions of each program. Read each page s l o w
l y.

For Adaware look for "Anniversary Edition."

Rick,

I had that on a Club member's computer. None of the files noted on that
page existed, even with hidden files turned on. Malwarebytes did remove the
infection. but only after execution in safe mode.

I view that article as an attempt to help PC Tools sell Spyware Doctor.
Spyware Doctor reported 6 threats and 213 infections. Malware bytes removed
five items. The system was clean and stayed clean.

Try this page. Select the free version and do what the others have
said about a scan.

chanook*xyz*--I am using Avast free
version/anti-virus----SUPERantispyware---and Malwarebytes---all FREE
editions. No problems whatsoever and love it. The SUPERantispyware.com is
great. Might want to check it out.
