im running xp home,cant seem to get rid of trojanhorse
downloader.agent.as,pollall1.exe.
it says its embedded,im useing avg free edition.

Be sure your AVG is updated with latest definitions.
You should also restart your pc into Safe Mode of Windows (tap F8 as it
boots up).
You can run your antivirus check in Safe Mode. Matter of fact, AVG may just
do better in Safe Mode.

it is updated,did restart in safe mode and it removed 3 others, but not that
one.thanks kidneystone

you mite find that the trojon could be in system restore. most of the time
you can deactivate restore and then reactivate it. it's worth a try.

Download Stinger (ideally on a clean/safe pc). Run it in Safe Mode.
