Trouble with divx files playing in Vista

Hi,

Anyone help here. Divx files just done't play on my new Vista.

Did you download the Divx codec from http://www.divx.com/? If not, grab that
and it should play without any problems.

besides the divx codec, you can also try the xvid codec, and if you don't
want to install either, you can download and play them in the free
gomplayer. It uses internal codecs so you don't have to install codecs on
your system.

Or use ffdshow which causes fewer problems with Vista. Divx has been on and
off buggy for many.

I think you mean "FFDShow Tryouts". FFDShow is buggy and discontinued. =)

(I realize I'm splitting hairs, but given that probably millions of people
are crashing on the old broken "FFDShow", it's an important thing to note.
