Trouble Installing XP Service Pack 2

I have the Service Pack 1 installed. I downloaded the service pack 2 install
and I get the message "The expected version of the product was not found on
your system." I also downloaded the Service Pack 1 install and I get the
same error with this file. Does anyone have ideas on how I can get the SP2
to install?

Start --> Run --> WINVER --> OK...
What is the text for the entire 'Version' line?

Try Live one Care for on line support.Act accordingly.At least try
serives.misc in run to see if windows defender if working.If not genuine
version,go for validation,it is very cheap.On line support is free and it is
like chatting.

Try down load english version.If it still does not work,then make it crash
AND REEINSTALL windows again.After that if you go for download,it will
definitely work.But ,by the way,if it is not the genuine version,get it
validated.Options are available.

Try Live one Care for on line support.Act accordingly.At least try
serives.misc in run to see if windows defender if working.If not genuine

Try Live one Care for on line support.Act accordingly.At least try

like chatting.At times u may feel frustrated,I was advised to down load
English version.Get ur CD handy while u r advised to in Live One Care.

Get into Live one Care and talk to expert on line and do what ever they
suggest>i had also same problem.If not then try down load english version.Or
simply crash and reload windows again to start afresh.Atleast try once
services.misc in run and watch if windows defender is working or microsoft
update is working?
