trouble reinstalling xp

I have upgrade xp installed on my computer, and I'm trying to reinstall it
and it says I need to reboot from the cd rom. Configure my computer to start
from the cd. How do I go about doing this.

Possibly set the boot order in cmos setup to CD-Rom first in boot sequence.
Even though you set the boot order to CD-Rom first some bios (I know Dell
does this) requires you to hit F2 (or some other key) to boot from CD-Rom at
POST.

Dwayne;
You need to enter the BIOS and set CD drive as a boot device before hard
drive.

Power on, you will see a message similar to "Press ** to enter Set-Up"
Immediately press the key.
Typical keys are F1, F2, Esc, Delete and others.
Look under "Boot"tab.
Check your motherboard/computer manual and/or contact the manufacturer for
BIOS details.
