trouble signing in windows live messenger

My daughter has trouble signing in to windows live messenger. In the
connections dialog box it says you are not connected to .Net messenger. So
she is unable to sign in. If i sign in under my user name and password i
have no problem. If she logs of the computer and i log on then open
messenger she can sign in. This is only happening on her user account. At
the moment she can only use the original version of windows messenger. I
have checked the messenger help files and carried out their recommendations.
I have even uninstalled/reinstalled the programme still no luck, any
suggestions please. Oh and its not me firewall blocking it either.

Greetings Gary,

It sounds like something has gone wrong with the Messenger client cache under your Windows
user account. Which version of Windows are you using on this machine so we can direct you to
the exact location to delete so she can sign in again.
