The Office 2007 icon on my start menu inexplicably became nonfunctional
this week. I'm running Vista Home Premium x32. I tried uninstalling
Office 2007, but I get the message: "Setup could not find any available
products to install. Please contact your system administrator." If I
try to reinstall using the original disc, I get the message: "Setup has
stopped working." I've tried to follow the instructions at 'How to
uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the
\"Add or Remove Programs\" feature'
(
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us) for uninstalling without
using the add/remove program, but I am unable to go to any "choose
details" menu on the view tab ... it doesn't exist, so I can't continue
the instructions from there. I don't have a second drive to try
installing the disc from there. The disc is brand-new, not dirty or
damaged. I've defragged the computer. How can I get this working again?
