The Office 2007 icon on my start menu inexplicably became nonfunctiona
this week. I'm running Vista Home Premium x32. I tried uninstallin
Office 2007, but I get the message: "Setup could not find any availabl
products to install. Please contact your system administrator." If
try to reinstall using the original disc, I get the message: "Setup ha
stopped working." I've tried to follow the instructions at 'How t
uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using th
\"Add or Remove Programs\" feature
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us) for uninstalling withou
using the add/remove program, but I am unable to go to any "choos
details" menu on the view tab ... it doesn't exist, so I can't continu
the instructions from there. I don't have a second drive to tr
installing the disc from there. The disc is brand-new, not dirty o
damaged. I've defragged the computer. How can I get this working again

If you are able to start Word, select the repair option in Help

I ran Diagnostics, which is the repair option in Word 2007 ... and it is
one of the only things I can access in Word right now. The suggested
"fix" is to install updates, which I did, but it doesn't fix anything at
all. My guess -- based on online posts regarding the same problem -- is
that when I tried to uninstall Word 2007, traces of it were left, and
that is what is not allowing me to reinstall from the disc. Any other
suggestions, anyone?

Grab Revo Uninstaller, it is Free. Choose the Aggressive mode and it
will find every Reg Key and let you delete them. The re-install.
Before re-install, use disk clean up to delete all the TEMP files as
well, in case something left in there.

And, of course, reboot.

Revo Uninstaller is a freeware uninstaller, which you can use to uninstall programs
and scan after scan after uninstall for leftover registry keys, files and folders ...

Go into the Control Panel, Programs and Features, locate Microsoft Office
2007... on the list right click it and select the Repair option.
