What i did with error code 81000306:

-uninstall windows live messenger
-run crap cleaner
-completly del any messenger related folders left behind
-Del you internet connection.
-Restart Windows.
-Setup a new internet connection to your ISP
-Download and fresh install Windows Live Messenger.
-Restart Windows.
-Login and your error should desapear

Worked for me.Good luck.
