Trying to download app, being timed out

I'm trying to download a file with no success.
The file starts to download, then just stops.
Then I get a timed out message.
Help

If it is just files from a particular server, then it is not a Vista
problem.

Try using a download manager that can resume downloads. These programs can
usually speed up downloads as well, by making multiple connections, for
downloads from sites with mulitiple servers and/or ones that throttle
speeds.

This is most likely a server side or ISP problem, not a problem with your
machine or OS. Consider installing a download manager. Such programs keep
track of download progress, and start over where they finished if a time out
or connection flaw occurs.

Search for "download manager" with your favoured Internet search engine.
