Trying to insert movie file to powerpoint

When attempting to insert a movie or .mpeg file into my powerpoint
presentation I get the following message. "Powerpoint couldn't insert a
movie from the selected file. Either the file is non-standard, or Quick time
is not installed properly".
I uninstalled Quicktime, since it is never used. Still does not work. This
same file inserts with no problems from a different XP computer. I also
uninstalled Office XP, thinking there was a problem with Powerpoint, and
reinstalled. Still the same problem. Suggestions???

Hi Kirk, this Newsgroups deals with Windows Update issues, have you tried the MS
Office Newsgroup/Powerpoint?
