Trying to install windows updates.

I've been trying to install windows updates for my computer but what I need
is the windows sp2 and when following the prompts I get an error number that
it can't proceed, I just need help with updateing my microsoft windows, any
suggestions?
Error code- 0x80246008

my disk has sp2, did standard install, and now it won't load updates. Usually
in this situation there are 80 or more updates. No error messages. It
sometimes acts as though is if downloading updates but nothing ever comes up
orinstalls.
